About Me

Hellooooo 👋

I'm French, I'm awkward and although I know it's more inviting, I don't want to put my face here so you will have to trust me when I say I'm nice and friendly.

A bit of context : I moved to the UK just before I turned 40, I worked in a Deli and in a lovely cafe, a year and a half after my move I was engaged to be married and I now live with my hubby, cat and dog in the North of England.

It's quite hectic at the moment but we both love to get away to hike and wild dook as soon as we have 5 minutes together.

After years of office jobs, trying to find a reasonable path through a reasonable professional life, and setting myself for not-a-success, I've decided to try and fail and try again at things that I actually like doing.

I'm a painter, a future potter, a wannabe woodworker, a knitter, I hate to think that that last bit of yarn is going to go to waste or that nothing can be done with that 2cm long bit of half rotten wood. So what if I do make something with it?

Let's keep starting

I'm slow but I’m moving and I want to keep focusing on the process rather than the end result, which ultimately is DEATH. Sorry that’s a bit dark all of a sudden, but in the end that’s what it’s all about : it dawned on me that I was always yearning for the end result, without paying much attention to the process or trying to enjoy it.

What matters most is not the end : it’s never finished until we die so let’s not finish just yet, let’s just start, and start again.

Most artist I follow on social media and irl are people showing their doubts, their frustrations ; what I admire the most is that they keep trying and keep making.

Here's to making stuff and learning infinitely ! Hopefully I’ll be able to show a couple of nearly finished acceptable pieces by the end.
